Location: Fort William
Position: Bakery Assistant / General Assistant
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday
Typical Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for Bakery Assistants to join a busy bakery operation based in Fort William.

This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable and hardworking individuals who enjoy practical, hands-on work and would like to work within a food production environment.

Working as part of the bakery team, you will support the bakers with the production of a range of cakes and biscuits, as well as helping to ensure finished products are prepared, packed and dispatched to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting bakers with cake and biscuit production lines
• Preparing and handling bakery products
• Picking and packing finished products ready for dispatch
• Checking products are packed correctly and meet required standards
• Loading and organising products for dispatch
• Cleaning down equipment and production areas
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and hygienic working environment
• Following food hygiene, health & safety and company procedures
• Supporting the wider bakery team with general duties as required

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• Generally 8:00am start – 4:00pm finish
• Full-time hours
• No regular weekend work

Previous bakery or food production experience would be an advantage, but is not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
