We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading seafood company based in Fraserburgh, who are looking for a reliable and motivated Team Leader to join their Freezing Department.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in a food production or similar environment who is ready to take on additional responsibility. You will lead a small team during the afternoon/evening shift while remaining hands-on and working alongside your colleagues to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.

The Role

As Team Leader, you will help coordinate the day-to-day workload within the department, making sure the team is organised, productive and working to the required standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and coordinating a small team throughout the shift
• Organising workloads and allocating staff to different tasks
• Ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and on time
• Overseeing freezing, packing, labelling and palletising activities
• Checking products are correctly packed, labelled and prepared for storage or dispatch
• Working alongside the team and providing support and guidance where required
• Keeping the department organised and ensuring production continues efficiently
• Managing priorities and responding to changes in workload throughout the shift
• Ensuring food safety, hygiene, health & safety and company procedures are followed
• Reporting any issues, delays or concerns to the Supervisor or Management team

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Confident working as part of a team and taking the lead when required
• Comfortable working in a busy production environment
• Able to prioritise tasks and keep work moving during busy periods
• Practical and hands-on with a positive attitude
• Detail-focused, particularly when it comes to orders, packing and labelling
• A clear and confident communicator
• Flexible and willing to help wherever needed within the department
• Keen to develop their skills and take on further responsibility

Previous experience within food production, seafood, freezing, packing or a similar environment would be an advantage.

Full training will be provided, so this could also suit an experienced Production Operative who is ready to take the next step into a Team Leader position.
