Access Personnel Ltd are currently hiring an experienced Fish Finner on behalf of our client, a leading seafood processor, located in Aberdeen.

Position Overview: We are currently looking for a Fish Finner to play a crucial role in the fish processing line by expertly finning fish manually and with machinery. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in fish finning and a deep understanding of the seafood processing industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Finning fish according to company standards and specifications.
  • Ensuring precision and efficiency in the removal of fish fins while minimizing waste.
  • Collaborating with the processing team to meet production targets and maintain product quality.
  • Adhering to safety and hygiene standards to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Reporting any equipment malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
  • Experience of Feeding into a Finning Machine
  • Keeping all areas of the factory clean and tidy
  • Prepare for any requirements for the following day
  • Wearing, company suppled, PPE, in accordance with health and safety and food safety requirements.
  • Use of machinery and manual handling.
  • Following all Health and Safety and Fire Procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in manually finning fish & using finning machinery within a seafood processing environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Understanding and commitment to adhering to safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 years experience as a Fish Finner.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work in varying environmental conditions, including cold storage areas.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Previous experience in a food processing/packing role is essential.

Due to machinery, applicants need to be 18 years old or older

Candidates must be reliable, punctual and hard working.

All PPE supplied

Monday - Friday  6am - 3.30pm
