Food and Beverage Supervisor .

Isle of Benbecula | £13.00-£14.50 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our hospitality establishment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring exceptional service standards, and maintaining food safety compliance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for culinary arts and team leadership to contribute to a dynamic environment. The position is paid and suitable for those with prior supervisory experience in restaurant, hotel, or similar settings.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food and beverage staff to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
  • Manage daily operations including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all areas of the kitchen and service
  • Assist in food production processes and support culinary team with specialised tasks as needed
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
  • Train new staff members on service procedures, safety protocols, and company policies
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain stock levels
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership and motivation

Requirements

  • Proven experience in supervising within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting, ideally with background in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with experience in team management and staff training
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure
  • Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen experience preferred
  • Barista or bar service experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Exceptional communication skills and a professional demeanour
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
