Food Production Operative .

Fraserburgh | £12.21 per hour

We are currently recruiting for long term Scallop Cutters/Production Operatives, to work with our well established Fish Wholesaler in Fraserburgh, primarily fulfilling the role of packing fish ready to ship to clients.

As a Production Operative, you will be integral to the operations of the factory, ensuring the efficient picking and packing of fish products.

The role involves working in a fast-paced seafood processing environment, ensuring high-quality scallop preparation and production.

Responsibilities

  • Cutting and preparing scallops to required specifications.
  • Handling and processing seafood efficiently while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
  • Ensuring all products meet quality control standards.
  • Working as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Following health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in scallop cutting or seafood processing is preferred but not essential (training can be provided).
  • Good knife skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a cold and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and a team player attitude.
  • Due to machinery, applicants must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed.

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 6am - 2.15pm. However, candidates must be flexible as these hours can be longer, due to production requirements. Opportunity of working on Saturday's when available.
