Health & Safety Systems Coordinator .

Alness | £14.00 per hour

Our client is seeking a proactive and organised Health & Safety Systems Coordinator to support their Health & Safety team with key improvement projects and day-to-day administration.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build or develop a career within Health & Safety, gaining hands-on experience across projects, reporting, compliance, and training coordination.

The Role

You will play a key part in driving H&S improvements across the site, including:

  • Leading a Manual Handling Improvement Project across production areas – reviewing current practices, analysing trends, coordinating assessments and supporting practical solutions to reduce injuries.
  • Maintaining and analysing H&S data (accidents, safety issues, medical conditions), ensuring accurate reporting and trend tracking.
  • Updating training matrices and monitoring H&S training records (internal and external).
  • Supporting audits, documentation control and compliance processes.
  • Managing safety communications (noticeboards, screens, internal systems).
  • Recording and tracking safety actions, ensuring follow-up on outstanding items.
  • Assisting with internal training documentation and SVQ coordination.
  • Supporting monthly KPI reporting and general H&S administration.
  • Assisting with wellbeing initiatives and internal safety campaigns.

About You

  • Strong interest in Health & Safety (or basic H&S knowledge/training)
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Comfortable maintaining accurate records and analysing data
  • Strong communicator, able to work across departments
  • Proactive, trustworthy and professional
  • Keen to learn and develop within a H&S function

Desirable

  • Previous administrative experience within manufacturing/production
  • Awareness of manual handling or ergonomics
  • Experience with incident/accident reporting
  • Knowledge of H&S systems or compliance processes
  • Interest in working towards a qualification such as IOSH
