We are currently recruiting Packing Operatives on behalf of our client, a successful family-run farming business specialising in the growing and packing of root vegetables.

Pay: £14.00 per hour, increasing after training
Shifts: Dayshift 6:00am–4:00pm / Backshift 4:00pm–1:00am
Backshift Allowance: Additional £10.00 shift allowance per shift
Training: Full training provided

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established food production business, with full training provided. No previous experience within food production or packing is required — we are looking for reliable, hardworking people who are keen to learn and develop their skills.

The Role

Working within the Packing Department, you will play an important part in ensuring root vegetable products are packed to a high standard and prepared correctly for customers.

Your duties will include:

• Packing root vegetable products
• Checking products for quality and presentation
• Weighing and labelling products
• Preparing finished products for dispatch
• Maintaining a clean and tidy working area
• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Working efficiently as part of a team
• Carrying out general duties within the packing department as required

Full training will be provided, allowing you to learn the processes and develop your skills across the department. Your rate of pay will increase following the successful completion of your training period.

Shift Patterns

• Dayshift: 6:00am–4:00pm
• Backshift: 4:00pm–1:00am
• Backshift allowance: An additional £10.00 shift allowance will be paid when working the backshift.
