We are working in partnership with a well-established and highly respected civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator for a permanent position based in Ross-shire, Scotland.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with a strong pipeline of work across major infrastructure and civil engineering projects.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, you will play a key role in both pre-contract and commercial project delivery, including:

• Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
• Managing project budgets and forecasts
• Procuring subcontractors and materials
• Valuing works and managing variations
• Preparing and negotiating final accounts
• Supporting project managers with commercial reporting
• Ensuring contractual compliance
• Identifying cost risks and opportunities

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator role within civil engineering
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
• Experience working on infrastructure or heavy civils projects
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities
• Proficiency in estimating and commercial software
• Relevant degree or professional qualification (preferred but not essential)
• Full UK driving licence
