We are working exclusively with a well-established local manufacturing business that is entering an exciting growth phase. This is a rare opportunity for an entrepreneurial Sales Director to join the company at a pivotal moment and earn shares in the business through performance and long-term contribution.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an autonomous environment, enjoys building things from the ground up, and wants genuine influence over the direction of a company. You won’t be stepping into a corporate structure – you’ll be shaping the future of the business.

The Role

As Sales Director, you will take ownership of the company’s commercial strategy, focusing on building sustainable growth across the UK and selected overseas markets.

While there will be some travel, this is not a role that requires constant time away. International travel will be occasional and purposeful, supporting key client meetings, exhibitions, or strategic opportunities – not routine.

This is a hands-on role where you will actively develop relationships, convert leads, and build long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the company’s sales strategy
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Convert warm leads into long-term commercial partnerships
  • Grow existing accounts and open new markets
  • Attend client meetings, exhibitions and industry events
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
  • Lead commercial negotiations
  • Work closely with senior leadership to drive growth
  • Play a key role in shaping the future direction of the business
